Normani’s Wild Side

Normani’s new music video for “Wild Side” (featuring Cardi B) lives up to the title showcasing a matured and edgy side to the solo pop star. In the video, Normani rocked an array of some of the sexiest, most eye-catching outfits. Styled by one of the most recognized fashion stylist out, Kollin Carter, he brought together and vision sketched by B.E Illustrations, and designed customly by Isa Boulder, the first outfit was one easily one of the most memorable. The look consisted of a skin-tight, black patterned cut look that left very little to the imagination. The cutouts were everywhere from stomach to shoulder and patterned around her breasts with matching long sleeve black gloves, and matching black thigh-high boots all with the same cutout design. Normani’s outfit gave off the vibe of a hot dominatrix, and this was just the first look. Next, she stunned in a purple bodycon minidress, also styled by Kollin Carter and sketched by B.E Illustrations, the dress was designed by Zigman. She completed the look with matching purple gloves and heels. Then she changed into a red waist high slit seductive slip, matched the background of the setting, much to Kollin’s initial disapproval but amazing final outcome.

Another amazing style Normani showcased from the video was an edgy black corset paired under a cropped black leather blazer, with matching black baggy pants and white sneakers for contrast to give strong Aaliyah flashbacks. Baba Jagne designed the pants and jacket, and Bryan Hearns designed the corset. This look brought the perfect combination of strong streetwear influence and maintained the consistent theme of sex appeal. THE matching animal print look with huge matching platform heel boots was another attention-grabber. The dress is by Harry Halim, the corset is by Garo Sparo, the matching headpiece is by Sarah Sokol Millinery. Next, Normani brought sexy glamour, in a crystal bra and underwear mermaid like set designed by Laurel DeWitt arguably one of the best most creative designs from the video, but the most jaw-dropping moment was when Cardi B started singing. Naked. Literally naked with nothing covering her parts but her long hair, it seemed like the video could not get any more shocking until Normani joined her, also naked and very close to Cardi. Everything about this video was an unforgettable spectacle as her second solo artist video since Motivation!
